While You're Out

An Alexa+ add-on for Echo Show

Tonight, Priya is looking after Maya.

The Echo Show in the kitchen becomes her guide for the evening, in the parents' own words. Their phones stay in the loop, and safety is written in code, not left to chance.

6:00 pm

Mom hands over.

"Priya is babysitting tonight." The Echo Show turns into tonight's screen: what's next, Maya's peanut allergy, who to call. Then it checks Priya knows the three things that matter.

6:40 pm

"Where's the EpiPen?"

Every answer comes in the parents' own words, and food always gets a safety check. This Echo Show is the real thing, running live. Ask it.

8:10 pm

Someone knocks.

Nobody is expected, so: don't open. The doorbell photo goes to Mom's phone, and her answer reaches the kitchen.

8:30 pm

Lights out.

Mom's goodnight message plays for Maya. The house gets ready for bed, room by room, until only the night light is on.

Later

A quiet house.

The parents come home to a summary of the evening, and pay Priya from their phone.
